GSI History

The company was founded in 1989 by Francisco J. Gali, a then undergraduate student at George Washington University, who out of need and perception of an opportunity started cleaning offices himself as a part-time job at night. Francisco’s entrepreneurial spirit, hard work and networking efforts helped him in structuring a Maryland-based cleaning and maintenance services company, today known as GSI - Gali Service Industries, Inc.

In the market for over 23 years now, GSI holds a successful record of steady growth in sales and personnel throughout the United States. The company manages operations in 13 states and the District of Columbia and hires approximately 1,500 people, servicing various complex facilities of different magnitudes, occupied by either government agencies / departments or commercial, industrial, educational and even retail organizations. GSI’s focus and commitment to its clients’ needs and requirements contributes to continually incrementing the facility types serviced and launching innovative solutions into the market.

Currently managed by a highly professional, experienced and diverse team, GSI is devoted to providing exceptional cleaning services while making a conscious effort to lessen its impact on the environment and foster good practices related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) within the industry. Each member of the Gali Management Team has more than 20 years of experience in the cleaning and maintenance services industry (mostly within GSI) and has supported the company throughout its growth since its entrepreneurial stage. The Team is equipped with the technical knowledge and skills to exceed clients’ expectations in terms of services provided, concerned with requirements set by facility managers and property owners.
